Maren Morris recently shared photos of a thoughtful gift Miranda Lambert sent her and son Hayes. The gift included two custom-made jean jackets, one for Morris and one for her son, that feature sparkly fringe and their names on the back. Morris tweeted two photos of the gifts — one that showed both jackets laying next to each other and one of husband Ryan Hurd holding Hayes and showing off the jacket.

“Thank you for this amazing gift @mirandalambert. Love you so much and am so proud of you for having the number 1 this week,” Morris wrote, commemorating Lambert for her new No. 1 song, “Bluebird.”

The photo of Hayes is the first one Morris has posted in a few weeks and it did not show the baby’s face, which was purposeful on her part. The singer recently deleted all photos that show her son’s face and vowed to not post as many due to being mom-shamed over a photo of the two of them on a pool float in a lake in early July. When a fan defended Morris about the lake photo, she responded, saying that she would limit photos of him in the future.

“Honestly, I get so many criticisms of my motherhood on anything I post of Hayes, so I may just discontinue posting photos of him,” she writes. “Sucks but it’s kind of where I’m at.”

Hurd also stepped in to defend his wife after she was unfairly criticized by social media users.

“I’d just like to say, my wife usually doesn’t need me to defend her, but she’s a great mom, and my kid was not unsafe on a float in 1 feet of water being held by an adult with 5 people watching so she could get a picture,” he wrote on Twitter.

Morris and Hurd welcomed their son, whose full name is Hayes Andrew Hurd, on March 23rd.
