Jennifer Nettles Reveals Album Title, Track List for Upcoming Christmas Album
“Especially since the birth of my son, who arrived to us in December, I’ve found even more joy Christmas traditions and music," said Nettles.
The holidays are getting nearer and this season will be packed with a punch when Jennifer Nettles releases her first-ever holiday album, To Celebrate Christmas. Set for release on Oct. 28, the record will feature 10 Christmas songs, including collaborations with Broadway legend and Frozen voice actress Idina Menzel and R&B artist Andra Day.
“I’m such a lover of this season and all of the magical feelings that surround us during the holidays so it will be exciting to share it with fans at our live shows,” expressed the longtime CMA Country Christmas host. “Especially since the birth of my son, who arrived to us in December, I’ve found even more joy Christmas traditions and music. Having both Idina and Andra lend their idyllic voices to some of my favorite songs is the bow on top!”
New first broke of Nettles’ holiday project when Dolly Parton revealed the news during a chat with fans in a Facebook Live video.
“I did a Christmas album years and years and years ago,” Parton shared at the time. “But I am going to do a new one that’s going to include things from the new Christmas movie, ‘Christmas of Many Colors: Circle of Love.’ There’s a song called Circle of Love and I think Jennifer Nettles is also including that song in her new Christmas album that’s coming out this year. I will have it in the one that comes out next year.”
This is sure to be a busy holiday season as Nettles will also reprise her role as Parton’s mother in the sequel to the hugely-successful Coat of Many Colors movie. Dolly Parton’s Christmas of Many Colors: Circle of Love will return to NBC on Wednesday, November 30 at 9/8c.
