Thomas Rhett is Looking Forward to a Big 2016

Based on the way the past year has gone for Thomas Rhett, his career does not look to be crashing and burning anytime soon.

Coming right off the success of his six-week No.1 single, “Die a Happy Man,” as well as continuing to tour with Jason Aldean and A Thousand Horses, Rhett is looking forward to what may come of this year ahead. He feels as if 2015 was a game changer for his career and hopes 2016 will be just as good, if not better.

“It’s like…it just feels different. It doesn’t feel like I’m just puttin’ songs out just to put songs out, it feels like I’m puttin’ out with a purpose and that’s translating into to ticket sales and that’s translating into album sales and downloads and that kinda stuff,” the Georgia native says.

He also acknowledges the fact that it wasn’t just him doing his thing in 2015 that got him ahead, but rather the fans that boosted him up the chart time and time again.

“It’s just nice to see your fan base growin’ and people being engaged with you on social media, and all that kinda stuff.”

With his newly released-to-radio single, “T-Shirt,” gaining traction, Rhett is just coasting on by and wishing that the best year yet is on its way.

“It’s just, it’s been a year for the books and hopefully it continues to keep on gettin’ bigger,” he added.
