Toby Keith’s ‘Red Solo Cup’ Goes Viral With 600,000+ Views

Toby Keith releases his new album, Clancy’s Tavern, on Oct. 24 and recently scored another No. 1 single with “Made In America,” but all anyone seems to be talking about these days are his red Solo cups. More specifically, his song “Red Solo Cup” and an accompanying video spiked with party-cam hilarity.

Though the song is from his still unreleased album, the video has become one of the hottest hits on the web, scoring well more than 600,000 views in just several days with the counter climbing by 100,000 daily.

Built around lyrics that celebrate the classic party beverage receptacle, the clip features the song’s writers Brett and Jim Beavers with Brad and Brett Warren, along with a host of celebrities: Craig Ferguson; sports icons Roger Clemens and Larry Bird; fishing guru Jimmy Houston; entertainers Jeff Dunham (with Bubba J), Carrot Top and Lance Burton; and fellow recording artists Sammy Hagar, Ted Nugent, Eric Church, Joe Nichols, JT Hodges, Carter’s Chord, Rose Falcon and Trailer Choir’s Butter.

The song and its popularity recently prompted the band and crew of Eric Church, who has been on the road with Keith this summer, to pop-up onstage wearing “Red Solo Cup” costumes, and fans have already been waving the party staples in the crowd at stops on his “Locked & Loaded Tour.” Once again, it seems, Toby Keith’s cup runneth over.
