Trisha Yearwood Shows Off 30-Pound Weight Loss

Trisha Yearwood turned heads at the 48th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards earlier this month when she appeared on stage flaunting a noticeably slimmer figure in a tight-fitting dress. Following her appearance on the ACMs, Yearwood revealed that she recently lost 30 pounds. The singer, host, and cookbook author covers the latest issue of PEOPLE where she opens up about her weight loss.

“I don’t think you can name one diet I haven’t done. I’m that girl who buys every magazine where somebody’s lost 30 lbs.,” she explains. “I guess a part of me didn’t want to hear that it’s just really hard work!”

The singer changed her diet in order to help get healthier. “I designed my own plan that’s low-fat, low-sugar 90 percent of the time,” says the host of Food Network’s Trisha’s Southern Kitchen.

On top of eating healthier, Yearwood also found a new passion: Zumba. “I fell in love with it,” she says.

The singer has gone from a size 14 to a size 10 and thrilled about her progress. “I have a strength I never had before,” she says. “I feel like I can do anything.”
